The United States and Germany have reached agreements on the Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream-2. According to a representative of the State Department, the US and Germany, as part of their agreement on Nord Stream-2, decided that “they will not tolerate the use of energy by Russia as a geopolitical weapon in Europe, as well as the escalation of its aggression against Ukraine.” In the event of “hostile activity,” Russia will be forced to “incur significant costs,” the diplomat said. Also, within the framework of the agreements, Germany pledged to create a “green fund” for the energy sector of Ukraine. Its size will be one billion dollars.
Ukrainians are waiting for a new increase in tariffs
Tariffs to rise in Ukraine from October for hot water and heating. On average, tariffs are expected to increase by 30-40%. It is reported that from October the tariffs will be: heat supply – 2151.77 – 2433.90 UAH / m2 per 1 gigacalorie, depending on the type of house; hot water supply – 109.55 – 122.17 UAH / m3; heating in houses without a meter – about 53.2 UAH / sq.m.

He noted that the regulator supports bringing tariffs to an economically viable level for all consumers, along with providing targeted assistance to consumers who need it.
