Crossing the border will now be allowed for separated spouses to find themselves, as well as parents for “exercising the rights of custody, access or accommodation of a child or the pursuit of schooling”. Other cases: “visiting a parent in a nursing home or a child in a specialized institution”. These exemptions, already implemented on the German side will now be applied on the French side. In addition, a single “simplified” Franco-German certificate must soon be made available.
