British Airways, Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic Airways, three airlines operating London and New York JFK Airports, voluntarily agreed to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s request that only confirmed passengers should board.

In the case of the Philippines, a spokesman for the presidential office of Rodrigo Duterte said it would ban all flights from Britain for a week starting on the 24th. Passengers who have visited (via) the UK within 14 days of arrival in the Philippines are also temporarily restricted from entering the country for the same period.

The European Commission (EC) urged member states of the European Union to lift the UK travel ban.

In advance of the meeting of the ambassadors of the 27 member states, the EC issued a recommendation containing this information. However, the recommendations are not binding, and each Member State may apply its own policies on border control.

France, which closed its borders with Britain after the EC’s announcement, announced that it would ease some measures.

France is planning to allow entry for nationals and EU citizens who have received a negative Corona 19 certificate within 72 hours.
