Resident asks to close the airport in Puerto Rico

San Juan – The Puerto Rican interpreter Resident (René Pérez) asked the government of Puerto Rico to know if it is possible to close the Luis Muñoz Marin international airport to avoid increasing the number of infections from COVID-19 on the island.

Through his social networks he wrote this Saturday: “ghell of Puerto Rico, the number of infections on the island are low but in the USA they are on the rise and I have seen an increase in tourists arriving on the island from there “. “Just as they put ‘pa’ (for) the cockfights, could they put ‘pa’ to close the cab … airport? Thank you,” he added on the social network Twitter.

Since the end of December, a federal measure came into force on the island that cannot fight cockfights, a tradition that the Spanish brought to the island in the 16th century and which has been faced with local legislation and keeping the same.
