It is a digital revolution in healthcare that announced this afternoon by the councilor Luigi Icardi and by the president of CSI Piemonte Pietro Pacini during the presentation of www.salutepiemonte.it, the new portal of the Region for the “online” health services of the citizen.
With an easy, fast and secure address, reachable from PC, smartphone and tablet, the site wanted by the councilor and created by CSI will allow citizens to have their own health care framework in hand just a click away: from the portal, in fact, it will be possible consult, print and archive medical reports, change the general practitioner, make and view appointments for medical visits or vaccines, pay the ticket, print drug prescriptions and many other things. All from behind a screen, without having to physically go to the counter
At the center of the virtual universe, the electronic health record, a tool that allows you to have a real-time trace of the patient’s clinical history. The Piedmont Region is among the first in Italy to make it automatic for all Piedmontese citizens, who can thus decide to use it for personal purposes or to make it accessible to doctors for treatment purposes. To the portal www.salutepiemonte.it it can be accessed via electronic identity card, national service card and Spid system.
The advantages are undeniable, both in a situation of normality and in a context such as the pandemic that requires the need to eliminate, where possible, queues at the counters and gatherings. To present the portal, the councilor for health Luigi Icardi: “In a moment of difficulty, digital technology can be of great help that can facilitate the life of the citizen. This is an important change, from a technological and cultural point of view: a revolution, even against the Covid regime”. “We have focused on the concrete needs of the patient, who can now access his / her clinical information at any time of the day, in a simple, fast and safe way and from any device”, reiterated the councilor.
Proud of the work done for the community and for the Piedmont Region Pietro Pacini, director general of CSI Piemonte: “We worked alongside the Department of Health to achieve this important result which is significant from many points of view”. “In fact, in this project the Consortium took care not only of the technical-IT aspects, but also supported the Department in the conception and implementation of the communication campaign that will accompany the project. In fact, it will be important for citizens to know this new single point of access to digital health services, which are easy to use and useful, especially in this delicate moment for the resumption of the health emergency. The contribution of CSI is also fundamental from the point of view of communication, as well as digitization.
