Updated Official Information on COVID-19: Report Tuesday, April 13, 2021
The COE for the prevention of Coronavirus and Dengue updated the official information on the provincial epidemiological situation and the prevention and containment works that are carried out throughout the territory of Catamarca in the framework of the fight against Dengue and COVID-19.
Until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 158 new positive cases of coronavirus have been detected in the province of Catamarca. The accumulated total of positive cases detected amounts to 13,242.
Of the 158 positive cases detected today, 59 were confirmed by PCR tests processed in the Central Laboratory of the Ministry of Health, 84 by Antigen tests, 76 of them performed in the public health system and 8 processed in private laboratories, and 15 cases were diagnosed by epidemiological link.
The positive cases detected today correspond to Capital (62), Andalgalá (43), Valle Viejo (16), La Paz (14), Pomán (6), Tinogasta (6), Fray Mamerto Esquiú (4), Santa María (2 ), Capayán (2), Paclín (1), Belén (1) and Ambato (1).
Until 18:00 today, 54 new recovered patients were registered: 37 from Capital, 9 from Valle Viejo, 7 from Tinogasta and 1 from Fray Mamerto Esquiú. For this reason, taking into account the sum of recovered cases and deceased persons to date, 3,406 cases are considered active cases.
All the patients housed in the hospitalization and isolation areas of the Carlos Malbrán Hospital until 6:00 p.m. are positive cases of COVID-19. Nine patients are admitted to the ICU with a positive diagnosis for coronavirus, all of them with Mechanical Respiratory Assistance.
Vaccination Campaign
Regarding the progress of the vaccination campaign for COVID-19 in the province, the Ministry of Health reports that until April 13, 56,314 doses were applied. They were applied to a total of 49,111 people (Source: NOMIVAC).
