Los Minnesota Vikings are looking for a new general manager after the firing of Rick Spielman and one of the candidates is Catherine Raîche, vice president of football operations for the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to the report by Adam Schefter, of ESPN, the Vikings requested permission to interview Raîche. Raîche joined the Eagles in 2019 as the coordinator of player personnel and operations and prior to the 2021 season she became the vice president of football operations.
Catherine Raiche, the Eagles VP of football operations – believed to be the most senior-ranking team personnel position a woman has held in the NFL – has been requested to interview for the Vikings GM job, per source.

Originally from Montreal, Canada, Raîche, a law graduate with a master’s degree in taxation, began her sports management career in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as administrative coordinator of the Montreal Alouettes between 2015 and 2017; in his final year with the Alouettes he became assistant general manager. Before jumping into the NFL, she spent two seasons as the managing director of the Toronto Argonauts.
Susan Tose Spencer was the first woman to be the general manager of an NFL team. Tose Spencer was the GM of the Philadelphia Eagles between 1983 and 1985; she also held the positions of team vice president and legal counsel.

In addition to Raîche, the Vikings have asked to interview other candidates, including Browns executives. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Y Glenn Cook; Buccaneers vice president of personnel John Spytek; Patriots personnel consultant Eliot Wolf and the Eagles’ director of personnel, Brandon Brown.
