Edmund McMillen has revealed that The Binding of Isaac: Repentance DLC is a “massive expansion” to The Binding of Isaac, and “basically a sequel”.
In a blog post on Steam McMillen gave an overview of the expansion showing that it was even bigger than “rebirth from the OG flash game.”
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth was a remake of The Binding of Isaac from 2011, which received a lot of new content and the game was ported to the current-gen systems. This comparison shows how great Repentance becomes.
And of course for those wondering we still don’t have a release date yet but we think end of year is still doable 😉 https://t.co/uc3TpvWpv1

McMillen also described the game as “currently over 90% ready” and tweeted that a release date for the game had not yet been set, but that the team believes “the end of the year is achievable.”
More updates about Repentance will be released in October, including news about console versions. You can find the Steam store page here with all the information about Repentance.
