The De Vliet outdoor swimming pool in Leiden can also be opened around 1 May this year. Although the renovation of the outdoor swimming pool is delaying slightly, it has been completed in time for the start of the swimming season.
In September 2020, a start was made with replacing tiles, refurbishing the changing rooms and installing a large number of lockers. Work took place not only above ground, but also underground. For example, the pipework from the technical installation has been renewed.
Due to the frost period, the activities were halted for two weeks longer. The delivery has therefore been moved from April 1 to April 16. Together with the construction partners, an attempt is made to have the commissioning take place as close as possible to the original date of 24 April.
The refurbished outdoor swimming pool is planned to be open to visitors around 1 May.
