Renfe cancels several trains in the province due to the strike this Friday | BE Malaga | Hour 14 Malaga

Renfe has canceled the service of several trains leaving or operating within the province of Malaga due to the call for a strike by the SFF-CGT union during the day of this Friday, September 10.

In this way, Renfe has announced in a statement that the AVE Madrid-Malaga, the Avant Seville-Malaga, the Malaga-Seville medium-distance train and lines C1 and C2 of the Cercanías.

From the Madrid-Malaga AVE, the departures from Malaga at 12.00 and 19.00, and from Madrid at 11.35 and 18.30 hours are suppressed. The departures of the Avant Sevilla-Malaga at 6.45 am from Malaga and, from Seville, at 12.50 am are canceled. Likewise, the Malaga-Seville medium-distance trains leaving Malaga at 5:19 p.m. and Seville at 6:48 p.m. are also eliminated.

In the case of Cercanías, 17 of the 104 trains are suppressed that serve Line C1 Málaga-Fuengirola, and three of the 20 that cover the C2 Málaga-Álora route.

Despite this, Renfe has indicated that affected travelers will be offered a place on the next available train or the option to change or cancel the ticket at no cost. Likewise, the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has drawn up a decree of essential services, in order to guarantee the mobility of citizens during Friday, a day of special influx of travelers.

These minimum services guarantee the circulation of 78 percent of the trains of High Speed ​​/ Long Distance, 56 percent of Media Distancia services and 100 percent of Cercanías at rush hour (from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., from 1:30 p.m. / 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. / 4:00 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and 75 percent the rest of the day.
