The image has been put online by Twitter user @cozyplanes, a Korean who claims to have information about Microsoft products. It is still unclear how reliable that source is, but other reliable sources such as Windows Central and WinFuture already have information about the Surface Laptop Go brought outside. Microsoft would announce the laptop on Thursday, along with a successor to the Surface Pro X.

According to Roland Quandt, journalist from WinFuture, the Surface Laptop Go gets a 12.45 “screen with a resolution of 1536×1024 pixels. Inside the laptop is an Intel Core i5-1035G1 and 4GB or 8GB ram. The cheapest version gets 64GB eMMC storage, while more expensive variants have a 128GB or 256GB SSD The battery would last 13 hours on a charge and the weight would be 1.1kg.

The laptop will get a USB-C and a USB-A port, a 3.5mm port and a Surface Connect connection on the right, according to Quandt. Only that connection can be seen on the render. The other connections would therefore be on the left side of the laptop.

Cozyplanes lists a number of other specifications, such as WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, a 720p webcam and the presence of a fingerprint scanner in the power button. The Surface Laptop Go would have dimensions of 205.7×278.2×15.7mm. The Surface Laptop Go will be the cheapest laptop model in the Surface line. The cheapest model would cost $ 629, although Cozyplanes indicates this is an estimate.
