NEW YORK – Cooler and cloudy weather will be with us this Tuesday in the tri-state area, as the threat of heavy rain and perhaps even the first snowflakes of the season could visit us at the end of the week.
Conditions remain foggy and rainy Tuesday morning, but the weather should get drier throughout the day.
Another batch of rain could return overnight, but Wednesday looks better, with some sunshine at times, before temperatures drop again Thursday as the remnants of Hurricane Zeta arrive.
The region could see heavy rain throughout Thursday with persistent rains and gusty winds. Snow is possible north of I-95 as the coldest air of the season arrives on Friday night.
Temperatures will be in the 50s for the week, but the mercury is expected to drop below 50 degrees on Friday.
The skies should clear in time for Halloween, although Saturday we could count on a “scary” cold for “Trick or Treat.”
