“Continuing to pay attention to the condition of the car is important, because even if the vehicle is not driven there are several car parts that have a useful life. So they must be replaced,” said Ersandy.
Ersandy explained several points that must be done so that the car remains safe while driving. Like the following:
1. Keep filling the fuel tank full to prevent moisture from building up in the fuel system and can affect the car when you want to use it.
2. Start the car at least once or twice a week. Make sure the device reaches full operating temperature before you turn it off again for about 10-15 minutes.
3. Make sure your tire pressure matches what is written on the door, and maybe even 5 psi higher than that if it’s going to stand idle for a long time.
4. Park your car on wooden blocks under the tires to prevent the cement from pulling the air pressure out.
5. Clean your car regularly to clean debris and dirt under the car and outside the car.
6. Clean the inside of the car and this will prevent odors or mold.
7. Do not set the parking brake if you are going to be parking for more than 30 days as the pads or shoes can get stuck to the drum or rotor and cause problems on the road when you move them.

12. A car that has not been used for too long can cause problems with the brake device. The disc and caliper parts have the potential to rust, so that when the car is used and the brakes are pressed, there will be a sound from the brakes.
