Leiden – The legend about Cornelis Joppenszoon who found stew in an abandoned Spanish camp in 1574 seems to be correct. Archaeologists found remains of the Spanish Schans Lammen in Leiden on Friday afternoon. A pewter spoon and fork, decorated parts of a drinking glass and pottery were found in the densed ditch. “This is really special,” said archaeologist René Isarin.
