The Ministry of Health and Social Action takes stock of the daily situation of the evolution of Covid-19 in Senegal this Monday, June 29, 2020.
Yesterday’s case…
As a reminder, the Ministry of Health reported Sunday (yesterday) 127 new infections with the coronavirus, bringing to 6,586 the number of cases recorded in the country since March 2.
Out of 1,179 tests carried out, 127 returned positive. These are 104 follow-up contact cases, 02 imported cases, recorded in Saint-Louis, and 21 cases from community transmission identified in Dakar (12) Kaolack (02), Thiès (02), Kaffrine (01), Touba (01), Bignona (01), Diourbel (01) and Mbour (01), said Mamadou Ndiaye, Director of Prevention to the Minister of Health.
27 serious cases…
In addition, 36 patients were declared cured while 27 serious cases are managed in the intensive care units. Three new deaths have been reported by the authorities.
To date, 6,586 cases have been declared positive, of which 4,291 have been cured, 105 died, 2,189 under treatment.
