Developer Crytek wanted to wait until July 1 for the big reveal, but Microsoft was too fast for them.
Developer previously announced Crytek already indicate that they will show gameplay of the Crysis remaster. At the same time, they would probably also announce the release date, but “thanks” to Microsoft is no longer a surprise. On the Brazilian Xbox Store, for example, a product page for the game appeared, including release date. There is talk of a release of July 23. Also noteworthy is that the game only 7GB while the game is 4K Ultra HD supports.
The description reports that the classic Crysis game has been refreshed graphically and further optimized for the latest generation of hardware. There are also some screenshots and on ResetEra they could also find the gameplay trailer.
The game originally appeared in 2007 and immediately became a cult classic due to the high load the game placed on computers. The game was also released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. The remaster will be released for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch, but it remains to be seen whether they will all be released on the same day.
Gameplaytrailer
The gameplay trailer that Crytek originally wanted to show tomorrow, has also been leaked. At the end of the trailer, the release date of July 23 is also confirmed, but since this is an Xbox trailer, it is not known whether this release date also applies to the other platforms. However, the image quality of the trailer is not yet ideal, so it is a good idea to wait for the official trailer release anyway.
