Regularly Visits, Lawyer Reveals Munarman’s Last Condition in Detention Center

Jakarta

The hashtag #MunarmanYouWhat has become a conversation on social media. This hashtag appeared because netizens said there was no news about Munarman.

Munarman’s lawyer, Sugito Atmo Prawiro, said that so far the team of lawyers and his family are still meeting Munarman. However, the visit time is limited due to the level 4 PPKM rules.

“So, for example, those who are only allowed to come include two families, two lawyers, and the time is also limited, it can’t be too long. Because the current conditions are worrying because of the spread of the Delta virus,” said Sugito when contacted, Sunday (1/01). 8/2021).

Sugito himself was last seen Munarman last Thursday (29/7). He emphasized that the hashtag emerged because people did not interact directly with Munarman.

“People who make hashtags are parties who don’t interact directly with Munarman. But if it’s from family, the team of lawyers, so far we communicate smoothly, come anytime we can. What’s important is according to the visit schedule,” he explained.

When contacted separately, Munarman’s attorney, Azis Yanuar, said that Munarman is currently in good condition. His condition continues to be monitored by the Special Detachment (Densus) and the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center (Rutan).

“Alhamdulillah, we are healthy and well, last Friday our team just visited for his legal affairs, thank God,” said Azis.

However, in the middle of the PPKM level 4 condition, Azis admitted that there was an adjustment in the schedule to visit Munarman. This is in line with the restrictions on people’s mobility to avoid crowds.

“The condition of the PPKM must be adjusted for visits, so there are slight changes because of the PPKM. But it doesn’t matter to us, because he can still be found according to the rules and procedures,” he said.

He stressed the change in the visit schedule is in line with efforts to reduce the virus. Moreover, currently active cases of COVID-19 are still being recorded.

“Yes, indeed, because of the change, mobility is also automatically limited. The goal is so that the pandemic does not spread, including in detention to prevent transmission from outside the area,” he explained.

Previously, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono confirmed this time Munarman still undergoing legal proceedings. He is still in prison.

“His whereabouts are in the detention center are still being processed by law,” said Argo.
