Until July 1, 2022, in Hidalgo they registered 2,260 events supposedly attributable to vaccination or immunization (ESAVI) after the application of vaccines against Covid-19 approved by Cofepris, of which 86 cases are serious. According to the ESAVI Covid-19 report issued by the General Directorate of Epidemiology (DGE) of the federal Ministry of Health, the entity is located within the three states where the most serious cases have been reported.
This document specifies that a total of 3,762,262 vaccines have been applied in Hidalgo, mainly from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca, SinoVac and CanSino. The report indicates that in the entity there are 2,174 non-serious ESAVIs, of which 1,611 occurred in women and 563 in men, with an incidence rate of 0.58 percent.
In addition, there is a record of 86 serious ESAVIs, of which 47 occurred in women and 39 in men, with an incidence rate of 0.023 percent. In the national panorama, 38 thousand 653 ESAVIs have been registered after the application of the vaccines against COVID-19, of which 97 percent were non-serious and 3 percent serious. The highest proportion of cases of serious and non-serious ESAVI occur in the female sex with 58.77 percent and 71.31 percent, respectively.
Regarding the distribution by age group, non-serious ESAVIs occur mainly in the 30 to 39-year-old group, while serious ones occur in people over 60 years of age. The main symptoms presented in the non-serious ESAVIs were headache, pain or tenderness at the application site, and myalgia, while in the severe ESAVIs they were headache, asthenia, and dyspnea.
