The knot has burst: one week after winning the first point, FSV Rheinfelden also scored their first victory in the seventh game of the season. And how: After a strong game in the European Stadium, the hosts sent FC Freiburg-St. Georgen returned to the Breisgau and gave him the “red lantern” of the rear light.
The outstanding player at the Rheinfeldern was Massimo De Franco with three goals. Storm colleague and captain Jeremy Stangl was not successful in the end, but proved his qualities as a template provider.
FSV Rheinfelden dominated right from the start, and it should stay that way for 90 minutes. Asip Smailji brought the hosts in the lead, Massimo De Franco followed up. After the break, it was De Franco again who made almost everything clear with the 3-0 after just under an hour. Eren Salli increased to 4-0 shortly afterwards.
FSV goalkeeper Dany Quintero had a quiet evening, but once he had to get the ball out of the net. Mathis Hrtling scored the honorary goal for the guests (73rd). De Franco with his third goal and substitute Luis Grether made for the 6-1 final score.
FSV Rheinfelden: Quintero – Jger, Metaj (77. Kroglu), Venturiero – Veider (72. Grether), Smailji, Omerovic, Guglielmelli (86. Gtting), Salli – Stangl, De Franco (84. Lo Pumo).
