Reels, the new Instagram feature to compete with TikTok (Videos) – Vibration

The social media war is declared! In recent days, Instagram has been offering a whole new feature to its users. Exclusively available in France, Germany and Brazil, Reels lets you create and edit short 15-second videos. This new feature is accessible from the Story (entirely redesigned for the occasion) via a small dedicated tab.

By clicking on it, the user can start several clips, modify the speed, add music thanks to a large library, integrate effects (filters, stickers, etc.) or even trigger a timer for hands-free shooting. The user then has the choice: share his video with his subscribers or share it with the whole Instagram community and, in the latter case, regardless of his activity or his audience, the video will appear in the Explore tab (see below) ).

« I think that Musically [beforethemergerwith[avantlafusionavecTikTok]and TikTok today deserve all the credit for popularizing this kind of format. No two products will be the same, and ultimately sharing videos with music is a fairly universal idea that we think everyone will want to use. The focus was on how to make it a single format for[[Instagram] “Said Robby Stein, director of Instagram product management at the site TechCrunch.
