Reed Wins Thrilling LIV Golf Dallas Playoff, Crushers Dominate Team Competition

Dallas, TX – Patrick Reed secured a dramatic victory at LIV Golf Dallas, winning a four-man playoff with a clutch birdie putt – using his daughter’s putter! The win came after a tightly contested final round where Reed finished at 6 under, alongside Paul Casey,Louis Oosthuizen, and Masahiro Kozuma.

the playoff, the largest in LIV Golf history, quickly unraveled for all but Reed. Oosthuizen found water, Casey landed in a bunker, and Kozuma missed the green, leaving Reed with the possibility to seal the win with a birdie. “I looked down at my putter – it’s actually my daughter’s putter, and it says Windsor-Wells all over it,” Reed shared, adding, “I looked down and I said, ‘Come on honey, we’ve got to make one.’ For that putt to go in – it meant a lot.”

bryson DeChambeau’s team, the Crushers, also enjoyed a triumphant day, securing the team victory. their performance sent a clear message to the rest of the league, overcoming a four-shot deficit to the 4Aces. DeChambeau and Anirban Lahiri ignited the team’s charge with early birdie streaks.

The Crushers’ depth proved crucial, with all four players finishing within the top 11 individually. This victory marks their third consecutive win, equaling the streak previously set by Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC earlier this year.

Despite falling short in the playoff, Paul Casey expressed graciousness, acknowledging DeChambeau’s dedication and describing the event as a “little Crushers home game.”
