Redmi Note 10 Pro Max better than its global twin? | Analysis / Review

Xiaomi made a mess with the Redmi Note 10 line, while in India it launched the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max as the most advanced, in the rest of the world (including Brazil) we have the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Know that the two are practically the same device and the biggest difference is that the Pro Max, the one we have in our hands, doesn’t have NFC. So if you are interested in the global version, this review will serve to clear your doubts and get to know the device.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max feature the same plastic body design with a glass back and IP53 certification for splash and dust protection. The screen remains the same size as the Redmi Note 9 Pro, but Xiaomi replaced the 60 Hz IPS LCD panel with a 120 Hz AMOLED. The panel supports HDR10 and achieves a good level of brightness as well as accurate color calibration. . Stereo sound shows a good evolution compared to the mono sound of its predecessor.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with Snapdragon 732G and in our speed test we saw the new one being much slower than the old one in multitasking performance. In games, however, we got great results with some games taking advantage of the 120 Hz screen.

The battery delivers good autonomy, but is well below the rest of the Redmi Note 10 family and the fault lies in the 120 Hz screen that takes its toll. It is still possible to have autonomy for the whole day. The battery took more than 2 hours to charge, but the problem could be in the fact that the adapter is in Indian standard and has weaker power when on 110V.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is another mid-range Xiaomi with 108 MP camera. It records good photos and gets the contrast and sharpness right. Just don’t expect the same level of detail as a top-of-the-line 108 MP camera, as weaker hardware limits it.

Overall, it’s a device that hits where it should, but also misses where it couldn’t. Worth to buy? To find out the answer, just check out our full review via the link below.
