Redmi 10 Prime Will Use MediaTek Helio G88 SoC

Jakarta, Selular.ID – In a recent teaser tweet, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime carries the jargon ‘All Round Superstar’. The teaser launched by Xiaomi seems to bring a lot of puzzles for fans. Various assumptions then emerged regarding this new device from the Xiaomi family.

Redmi 10 Prime will come with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, this was confirmed by Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India and Global Vice President on Friday, (27/08/2021).

As is known this chipset was launched in July and was first shown on the Redmi 10 which was launched earlier this month. The confirmation from MediaTek Helio G88 further suggests that the Redmi 10 Prime will likely be the updated Redmi 10. The Redmi 10 Prime comes with a punch-hole screen and a quad rear camera setup. It also includes up to 6GB of RAM and a maximum of 128GB of internal storage.
Manu Kumar Jain, has tweeted an image to confirm that the MediaTek Helio G88 will power the Redmi 10 Prime. The executive also mentioned that the new phone will be a “significant improvement” over the Redmi 9 Prime and Redmi 9 Power.

The presence of the Redmi 10 Prime will complement the Redmi 10 Series that was released earlier. Previously, Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 5G, Redmi 10 and several other series.

With a series of rumors circulating related to the specifications of the Redmi 10 Prime, it is likely that this device will also greet the global market after its first release in India some time in the future.

Redmi 9 greets the Indonesian market
If Xiaomi brought the Redmi 9 Prime in India, in Indonesia Xiaomi officially presented the Redmi 9 in July last year, only a month earlier it was launched in Indonesia.

Redmi 9 is here to reach the entry level segment. The official price for Redmi 9 in Indonesia for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is IDR 1,799,000, while 4GB RAM and 64GB storage are sold for IDR 1,999,000.

The Redmi series is supported with four rear camera configurations. This configuration consists of a 13MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Redmi 9 has an 8MP selfie camera which can also be used for face unlock. Users can also watch videos and play games more optimally, comfortably, and in detail with a 6.53 Dot Drop screen and FHD + (2340x1080p) resolution.

This screen is also equipped with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front. On the performance side, Redmi 9 brings the MediaTek Helio G80 System on Chip (SoC), providing a much better performance of up to 107% compared to Redmi 8. Not forgetting that the phone is equipped with a large capacity 5020mAh battery (typ) and 18W fast charging.

Seeing the Redmi 9 sliding in the Indonesian market, and it’s not impossible if Redmi 10 Prime will also be present, unlike the case with Redmi 9 which first greeted Indonesia, Redmi 10 Prime was earlier present in India.
