Record peak for stocks in Europe

Quotes of the leading stock exchanges in Europe reached a record high today, after the New Year’s momentum on world markets continued, CNBC reported.

The Paris SAS 40 added 1.39 percent and closed at 7,317.41 points.

The Frankfurt DAX rose 1.63 percent to 120.61 points.

London’s FTSE-100 jumped 1.63 percent to 7505.15 points, BTA reports.

The pan-European index Stoxx 600 set a daily record of 495.41 points, then ended at 494.02 points.

Shares of airlines and tour operators, led by Wizz Air with a 12 percent jump, and TUI rose the most.
