Record of 385 deaths rises to 16,568 deaths from Covid-19 in Colombia

Colombia registered a new record of 385 daily deaths from Covid-19, which raised to 16,568 deaths from the pandemic in the country, according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

During the day it was also reported 8,419 new infections, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 522,138.

Of that total, 155,576, that is, 29.8%, remain active and more than double, 348,940, equivalent to 66.82%, have recovered.

In the case of the Atlantic, they were reported this Friday 95 new infections and 5 deceased of which 2 are from Soledad, 2 from Baranoa and 1 from Polo Nuevo. In Barranquilla the new cases were 100 and 3 deaths.

Regarding the deaths recorded in the day, 107 correspond to Bogotá and the departments of Antioquia (41), Valle del Cauca (38), Cundinamarca (37), Santander (36), Cesar and Norte de Santander (19) followed. , Magdalena and Córdoba (14), and Tolima (10).

During the day, 34,808 tests, 30,654 of them PCR and 4,154 antigen, for a total of 2.34 million samples of COVID-19 processed in the country.

The main sources of the pandemic are Bogotá, with 181,775 accumulated cases, followed by Antioquia (68,313), Atlántico (62,464), Valle del Cauca (41,887), Bolívar (22,738), Cundinamarca (18,441), Córdoba (16,727), Nariño (12,363), Santander (12,392) and Magdalena (10,996).
