The mortality rate continues to grow – compared to last Sunday, it increased from 2.49% to 2.51%.

At the same time, the number of cases of coronavirus infection detected in Russia over the week decreased for the first time since the beginning of May. If from 12 to 18 July the operational headquarters reported 174,800 cases, then from 19 to 25 July – about 168,408 (a decrease of almost 3.7%). In Moscow, which remains the main focus of the epidemic in Russia, 24,943 new cases were confirmed in seven days – 26.4% less than a week earlier, and about half as many as a month ago.

The number of people who recovered in Russia increased by 149,403 over the week against 141,012 in the previous seven days. However, the number of so-called active cases, that is, patients who are currently undergoing treatment, continues to grow: since last Sunday it has increased to 482,033, the highest since January 29.

Recall revaccination against COVID-19 has already begun in Moscow at all vaccination points. The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation recommends undergoing revaccination six months after the previous vaccination.
