In addition to the achievement of DPM as a joint business – in Chelopech and Krumovgrad, the new company “Dundee Precious Metals Krumovgrad” also for the first time ranked in the top 10 in the sector ranking of “Capital”, reporting revenues of nearly BGN 140 million and almost BGN 33 million profit, writes rodopi24.
The Canadian Dundee Precious Metals (DPM) produced almost 30% more gold than its activity in Bulgaria in 2020. The main reason for the growth is that last year was the first in which the company’s mine near Krumovgrad worked for a full 12 months. However, there is also an increase in the production of gold concentrate from the mine in Chelopech, the company’s data show.
Preliminary results show that the two local companies of DPM – “Dundee Precious Metals Chelopech” and “Dundee Precious Metals Krumovgrad”, have gained a little over 298 thousand tr. gold in the form of concentrate.
A total of 118.7 thousand tr. are produced by the mine “Ada Tepe” near Krumovgrad, which is more than twice as much as the previous year. Production there began in mid-2019, and full capacity was reached in late August.
