jpnn.com, JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo’s son-in-law, Bobby Afif Nasution, finally officially received a recommendation to go forward in the Medan City Pilkada, together with Aulia Rahman.
After receiving this official support, Bobby Nasution immediately thanked PDI-P Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri.
“I will carry out this mandate with full responsibility with all my heart and whole soul,” said Bobby after the virtual announcement of 75 regional head candidates nominated by PDIP in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Bobby was accompanied by Aulia Rahman as a candidate for deputy mayor for Medan, who is currently a member of the Medan City DPRD from the Gerindra faction.
He and Aulia will bring the spirit of collaboration to build Medan City. This spirit was born from the mutual cooperation vision of Indonesia’s First President, Soekarno.
“We make this spirit of collaboration as a strengthening for all elements of the party to create a ‘New Medan’, the city of Medan which is full of blessings,” he said.
According to Bobby, the 2020 Pilkada Simultaneously is different from the previous Pilkada, because it was held in the middle of the Covis-19 pandemic, and of course, must follow health protocols in every activity.
“Let’s make this Pilkada a momentum of unity, a momentum to realize hopes, and a momentum to win all the strengths of the people,” said Bobby.
