Realme guarantees mobile stock even though the global cellphone industry experiences a chip crisis

AKURAT.CO, Realme, a smartphone brand from China, said they were not affected by the chip crisis currently hitting the global cellphone industry.

“In realm, we did not experience it because it was (prepared) carefully. From the factory it is available, both from stock, safe,” said Realme Indonesia Public Relations Manager, Krisva Angnieszca, during a virtual press conference for the launch of the C25 and C21 realms, Tuesday (23 / 03/2021).

Stock availability includes the newly launched models, the Realme C21 and C25 as well as the earlier models.

The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted supply chains, leading to chip shortages in various industries.

This crisis was initially experienced by the automotive industry, however, recently it has spread to the global mobile phone industry.

Chip demand has risen in recent months, panic is pushing capacity even further and driving costs down to the cheapest components for nearly any microchip.

This shortage of supply was triggered by various factors, including factories that had closed due to the pandemic, errors in calculating demand and the United States’ trade war with China.[]
