Realme C53: Specs, Design, and Price in Malaysia


KOMPAS.com – Realme launched its newest cellphone, Realme C53, on the Malaysian market on Wednesday (31/5/2023).

Judging by the design and specifications, this entry-level smartphone is similar to the Realme Narzo N53 which visited the Indian market last May.

The main difference is that the most basic variant of the Realme C53 comes with a combination of 6GB/128GB of RAM and storage.

Meanwhile, the cheapest variant of the Realme Narzo N53 carries 4GB/64GB of RAM and storage.

Specifications for Realme C53

In terms of appearance, the Realme C53 has a rear design similar to the iPhone 14 Pro.

This is because the back of this device is equipped with a square-shaped camera module filled with three “rings” with a zig-zag placement. The three rings contain two rear cameras and one LED flash.

Also, the front of this smartphone is equipped with the “Mini Capsule” feature which makes the selfie camera module wider in the “Dynamic Island” style on the iPhone 14 Pro.

With the “Mini Capsule”, users can monitor the remaining battery percentage, cellphone charging, the number of steps taken by the user, and much more.

On paper, the latest Realme smartphone has dimensions of 167.3 x 76.7 x 7.5 mm and weighs 182 grams.

Regarding specifications, the Realme C53 carries a 6.74-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz.

This panel also supports a maximum brightness level of 560 nits and a screen to body ratio of 90.3 percent.

Turning to the photography sector, this smartphone is equipped with a 50 MP main camera that supports 1080p 30 FPS video recording. The main camera is placed in a module accompanied by a depth sensor camera and LED flash.

Realme C53 is equipped with an 8 MP selfie camera which is loaded in a waterdrop-like module. This front camera supports 720p 30 FPS video recording.

There are also photography features such as HDR, Beauty Mode, Bokeh Effect Control, and others.

For the innards, the “twin” Realme Narzo N53 is driven by the Unisoc T612 chipset with 12nm fabrication. This eight-core (octa-core) chipset is divided into 2 Cortex-A75 cores and 6 Cortex-A55 cores.

As for the graphics processing unit (GPU), the cellphone relies on the Mali-G57.

The battery that supports the Realme C53 has a capacity of 5,000 mAh with 33 Watt SuperVOOC fast charging technology.

With this technology, the battery is claimed to be charged from 1 to 50 percent in 31 minutes.

The C53 realm runs the Android 13 operating system (OS) which is polished with the real UI T Edition interface (UI).

Other supporting features include a fingerprint scanner (fingerprint) integrated with the power button (side-mounted), 3.5mm headphone jack, virtual RAM up to 6GB, microSD slot, 4G connectivity, dual SIM, and many more.

Realme C53 is present in Malaysia in Champion Gold and Mighty Black color variants. Following are the prices as noted by KompasTekno from GSMArena, Thursday (1/6/2023):
