The Covid-19 pandemic has not reduced the spirit of Realme Indonesia to launch a number of new products. Instead of being delayed, this company keeps on presenting smartphone new to Indonesia. One smartphone which I will review this time is the Realme C15 which has a large battery capacity as one of its superior specifications.

In general, this smartphone has a screen specification of 6.5 inches with water drop bangs. To find out my experience regarding this smartphone, see the full review.

Mainstream design

The Realme C15 design is fairly mainstream with a notch water drop and a fairly thin bezel on almost all sides. This design has been quite widely adopted by various vendors smartphone even for a number of series offered by Realme in Indonesia. Although spelled out mainstream, this design is able to offer optimal viewing, both for operating various applications, making video calls or playing games and watching content online streaming.

The placement of the buttons is also sufficient mainstream, where the volume and power buttons are positioned parallel to the right of the phone. I think this design itself makes it easier for users to operate smartphone with one hand. While on the left side of the cellphone, there is a SIM tray that can accommodate two sim card nano manifold, and one micro-SD. This facility will make it easier for users to expand storage using external memory.

All ports are placed by Realme on the bottom of the phone, covering port jack 3.5mm audio and USB. There are also speakers and a microphone that are positioned in the same section. Thus, the top of the phone looks plain. While other speakers positioned right above the front camera in a small size, so it’s not really visible.

Turning to the rear view, Realme C15 is decorated with a square camera housing with rounded corners. LED light flashitself is placed under the housing. There is also a fingerprint scanner that is positioned not far from housing camera, and the Realme branding in the bottom corner of the phone.

What’s interesting is the textured case. The texture is made in several levels so it doesn’t look plain. This concept is also enough to make the cellphone comfortable to hold because the slippery effect can be minimized.

Standard performance, long battery life

Considering that one of the specifications that the Realme C15 relies on is its large battery, I will discuss its power consumption first. For your information, smartphone It has a battery capacity of 6000 mAh. The company claims with a capacity of 5, the Realme C15 battery can be used for WhatsApp 1.79 hours, watch YouTube 1.73 hours, and make calls for 2.45 hours.

I myself tested it by playing a video clip on Youtube for about an hour. Quite comparable to the company’s claims, the Realme C15 battery capacity is only reduced by 4%. Meanwhile for standby, smartphone it can even last up to more than a week. It is sufficient to accommodate user activities such as communicating, watching content streaming to surfing the internet.

I also tested the Realme C15 battery by running the app benchmark PCMark Work 2.0. The result, a battery smartphone it can last up to almost 10 hours.

Unfortunately, Realme C15 is not supported by USB type-C for battery recharging. Even though it is supported by 18W fast charging technology, recharging the Realme C15 battery takes approximately three hours to use adaptor luggage. It is possible that this was done to cut production costs, so that the Realme C15 can be priced at an affordable price.

The realme C15 kitchen is supported by a MediaTek Helio G35 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. This configuration is sufficient to support daily user activities, both for communicating or enjoying streaming content. As a class smartphone entry, Realme C15 I think is enough to be daily driver. However for users who are familiar with smartphone middle to upper class, this smartphone may feel slow when operated.

I felt this while using Realme C15, especially after updating. Even though at the beginning of using smartphone this feels smooth without a hitch. For example, to open the gallery menu, settings or other menus that are not related to an internet connection. Once done update, the process of opening applications is sometimes quite long. I also experienced the same thing when opening the camera menu, although it felt smooth to operate various camera features.

However, the overall performance of Realme C15 can accommodate user needs in carrying out activities using smartphone.

To measure the performance of Realme C15, I also ran several applications benchmark includes 3DMark, PCMark Work 2.0 and Geekbench. To be more comprehensive, I compared the scores achieved by Realme C15 with Redmi 9C. Although the Redmi 9C in this test is supported by lower RAM than the Realme C15, however smartphone The Xiaomi outperformed the Realme C15 in several tests. However, the Realme C15 also recorded superior scores in other tests.
