LENGKONG, AYOBANDUNG.COM – Realme Indonesia will soon launch their new cellphone next week. Most recently, the Realme 8 5G is being prepared for an official launch on June 16, 2021.

Quoted from Hitekno.com, Realme Indonesia said that it would fulfill its commitment to “present the most affordable 5G for all” through the launch of the Realme 8 5G.
“Realme will launch the first 5G smartphone in Indonesia with Dimensity 700 and Dynamic Expansion RAM technology at an affordable price, to make it easier for people to become early adopters of 5G in Indonesia,” explained Realme Indonesia.
In addition to the Realme 8 5G, Realme will also launch four smart devices or AIoT ranging from smart watches, TWS, to neckband headsets.
Previously, Realme Indonesia had confirmed that it would launch the Realme 8 5G in Indonesia. He will be the newest member of Realme 8 which was launched last April in the country.
Realme 8 5G Specifications
As a device that is claimed to be the cheapest 5G HP for now, what does the new Realme Indonesia offer?
The new HP Realme 8 5G measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.5 mm and weighs 185 grams. The design of the rear and front camera modules is indeed similar to the Realme 8, but the Realme 8 5G no longer displays the words ‘Dare to Leap’ like its two older brothers.
The Realme 8 5G sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The 5G variant is the only one that carries an IPS type screen, in contrast to the Realme 8 and 8 Pro with Super AMOLED screens.
The next difference lies in the camera section, where the Realme 8 5G only carries three namely a 48 MP main camera, a 2 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth camera. While the front camera has a 16 MP sensor.
Compared to the regular Realme 8 or 8 Pro, both carry a quad-camera module on the back. In fact, the main sensor of Realme 5G is smaller than the two, which is 48 MP versus 64 MP and 108 MP.
The engine sector is also different. The Realme 8 5G is powered by the MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 5G chipset paired with 4GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB storage options. The phone runs the Android 11 operating system and the Realme UI 2.0 interface.
Realme 8 5G carries a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging. While other features that are also presented are 5G network, Dual-SIM, Micro SD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, USB-C, and a fingerprint sensor on the side.
The color variants presented are Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black. While the price of the Realme 8 5G is sold for around 14,999 baht or Rp. 2.9 million for 4GB/128GB, while the 8GB/128GB option is sold for 16,999 baht or Rp. 3.2 million.
It is important to note that the specifications of the Realme 8 5G above are the Thai market version, which indeed received this device in April. It is not yet certain whether the specifications and prices of the Realme 8 5G above will be the same as in Indonesia.
