PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia or MBDI introduced electric cars Mercedes-Benz EQS and EQE in Indonesia, Thursday (8/12/2022). Interestingly, the EQS model, which is a taller variant, comes with a battery with impressive mileage.
MBDI Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing, Hari Arifianto explained, the Mercedes-Benz EQS uses a 12-cell battery with a capacity of 108 kWh. This arrangement allows the vehicle to cover a distance of up to 770 kilometres.
“When used daily, the battery capacity can last for a week. So for me it’s very impressive,” Hari said on the sidelines of the product launch in Senayan, Central Jakarta.

According to Hari, the large capacity of the EQS battery makes drivers with high mobility feel more relaxed. In fact, when measured in distance units without considering road conditions, this premium vehicle can travel from Jakarta to Surabaya on a single charge.
“In full condition, this EQS can be up to 770km, it can be from Jakarta to Surabaya in 100% condition. So drivers don’t need to worry if they want to travel far from the city,” he said.
For information, Mercedes-Benz EQS made its world debut in April 2021. The car carries the concept of an electric sedan using a special EVA (Electric Vehicle Architecture) platform.

In Indonesia, EQS is available in two different variants, namely EQS 450+ Electric Art and EQS 450+ AMG Line. The vehicle uses an electric motor capable of producing 329 hp. Meanwhile, it is claimed that accelerating from zero to 100km/h takes just 5.5 seconds.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS is equipped with a hyperscreen or large screen in the wheelhouse. There, there are a host of features and entertainment that make drivers and passengers feel at ease.

Mobil listrik itu juga dibekali fitur kekinian khas Mercy, seperti Active Brake Assist, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Changing Assist, Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus, PRE-SAFE Impulse Side, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, dan Window & Knee Airbag.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ Electric Art costs IDR 2.98 billion and the EQS 450+ AMG line is marketed for IDR 3.41 billion. Both are still off track.
