Real estate funds stoneware on sunny fair Financial

At around 4:00 PM, the AEX index was 0.9% higher at 537.3 points. The AMX rose 1.2% to 729.9 points. The price boards in London (+ 0.7%) and Paris (+ 1.1%) also turned green. Frankfurt is closed today.

“Friday’s sector rotation seemed to be coming to an end, but continue as usual today: real estate and banks are doing well again. Technology funds that have performed strongly in recent months are being sold a bit more ”, investment advisor Rein Schutte (Noesis Capital) oversees the markets.

In the morning, market rumors followed that Beijing would temporarily shut down imports of American soy. President Trump last weekend waived expected new trade sanctions against China, which with a new security law tightened its hold over Hong Kong.

The US stock markets opened 0.2% to 0.5% lower this afternoon. “For many analysts, the new US unemployment benefit figures are becoming critical this week,” emphasizes Schutte (Noesis Capital). The market also expects more support from the European Central Bank. “If there is a surprise on Thursday, the euro can cause surprises.”

In the AEX went Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in the lead with a price jump of 8.9%. The real estate fund has completed the sale of its interest in five French shopping centers. Unibail transferred the 54.2% interest to Crédit Agricole Assurances and La Française. In February, the company already announced that the deal will generate around € 1.5 billion.

ABN Amro followed with a plus of 5.4%. The bank repaid a bond early. Insurer Aegon won 4.7%. Steelmaker ArcelorMittal was worth 4.1% more. Fair weight Royal Dutch Shell (+ 2.3%) and Prosus (+ 1.9%) also helped the AEX move forward.

At the bottom was information supplier Wolters Kluwer (-2.4%). Biotechnology group Galapagos gave up 1%. Payment service provider Adyen (-0.4%) and chip machine manufacturer ASML (-0.2%) were also among the losers.

The medium-sized funds included a real estate fund Eurocommercial Properties (+ 4.9%) on top. Maritime service provider SBM Offshore was worth 4.5% more.

When the small caps did Wereldhave good with 8.7% price gains. Specialty chemical company Avantium even rose 20.8%. The Avantium share was touted on Sunday in Harry Mens’ television program Business Class.

Coffee and tea manufacturer listed on the local market JDE Peet’s 2.6% higher at € 36.78. Douwe Egberts’ parent group went public on Friday at a price of € 31.50.
