Razer introduces Basilisk V3 gaming mouse with improved scroll wheel for 80 euros – Computer – News

Razer introduces its Basilisk V3 gaming mouse. This mouse has, among other things, more RGB LEDs than its predecessor and gets a renewed scroll wheel with a free-spinmode. The Razer Basilisk V3 costs 80 euros.

The scroll wheel of the Basilisk V3 is classified by Razer as a “hyperscroll” wheel with several modes. A button next to the mouse allows users to toggle between a cascading scroll mode with tactile feedback, and a free-spin mode that allows users to scroll without any resistance, for example through web pages or long documents. A similar feature is incorporated in some Logitech mice, such as the MX Master series and the G502.

The Razer Synapse software also gets a feature that automatically switches between the two modes. This involves looking at how fast the user scrolls; when users scroll hard, the free spin mode is activated, and when scrolled slowly, the cascading scroll mode becomes active.

Users can also set the RGB LEDs on the mouse via the same software. The Basilisk V3 has more LEDs than its predecessor, including in a translucent border on the bottom of the mouse. The dpi button on the left side of the mouse is now also attached by default; in the Basilisk V2, it could be removed from the mouse. Furthermore, the scroll wheel tension can no longer be changed. The mouse weighs 101 grams without cable and has dimensions of 130 x 60 x 42.5 mm.
