Spaniard Raúl Alarcón, a W52-FC Porto cyclist who won the Laps to Portugal in 2017 and 2018, was suspended for four years for “use of prohibited methods and / or substances”, according to the updated list of suspensions of the International Cyclist Union ( UCI).
In view of this suspension, Alarcón’s sports results are canceled between July 28, 2015 and October 21, 2019, so the Spaniard loses the triumphs in the Laps to Portugal won in 2017 and 2018.
The 34-year-old cyclist, who is suspended until October 20, 2023, won the 2017 Tour of Portugal against Amaro Antunes, champion of the special edition of the race celebrated last year, and the following year beat the also Portuguese Jóni Brandão.
