When ratiopharm ulm makes its way to Würzburg on Saturday morning and thus into the new easyCredit BBL season, the semi-finalist will do so in his brand new team bus. And when ratiopharm ulm rolls up, it makes a difference. The 14 meter long and four meter high S 531 DT team bus from the Setra brand is not only a visual eye-catcher, it was also specially converted to meet the needs of ratiopharm ulm. The rows of seats were adapted to the length of the players, USB sockets were installed and a stable W-LAN connection was ensured throughout the bus. Because the double-decker team bus is much more than just a means of transport for a professional team: it serves as a place to work and relax. The fact that the current model has a ventilation system with integrated virus filters is particularly valuable at the moment.

“Even when I was a coach, I really enjoyed the fact that the players can relax on the upper floor and we coaches can work undisturbed downstairs. But what Baumeister-Knese has made possible with the current team bus is even better, ”said sports director Thorsten Leibenath, who personally looked at the interior of the touring coach, which can hold up to 85 people.

The Ulm coach company Baumeister-Knese has been a partner of ratiopharm ulm since 2017 and is now extending its contract by three years until 2023. “We are very proud of the partnership with ratiopharm ulm. It is not just about presenting our company, but also about the solidarity that is lived in the basketball network. This thought is more important than ever in the current times ”, says managing director Klaus Knese about the contract extension.
