Raid for respirators. The police searched companies and Vojtěch

Detectives from the National Center against Organized Crime (NCOZ) came for inspections to Recea Prague on Monday at six o’clock in the morning, which supplied respirators to the Ministry of Health in the event of an emergency for 6.9 million crowns.

“Yes, a house inspection was carried out on Monday and also an inspection at the headquarters of my company,” List of Reports confirmed this information to the owner of the company, Radek Kunc. “The police searched everything, confiscated my personal computer and phones, as well as my original accounting,” he added.

According to the NCOZ News List, he was looking for cash in his house and company headquarters, Radek Kunc did not want to comment on the details of the detectives’ intervention. “I can’t comment on the whole event yet, but I have everything in perfect order,” added the head of the company.

From two sources, Seznam Zprávy verified that the event was more extensive and did not only concern Kunc’s company. Detectives also intervened at the Ministry of Health and other suppliers from whom the Ministry purchased protective equipment in an emergency.

The visit to the police was confirmed by the List of Reports and the company Batist, which also supplied respirators. “On Monday, police officers from the NCOZ intervened with us,” said company spokeswoman Martina Piskorová without further details.

Information about the police search was not denied by other companies in response to a direct inquiry. In addition to Recea Prague, according to the findings of the List of Police Reports, it is also interested, for example, in deliveries from the Lanškroun company LA Factory. Its boss, Radek Švec, declined to comment on whether a house search was also carried out on Monday. “I have holidays. If you have any questions, please contact the police, “said Švec.

The Ministry of Health has not yet responded to questions about the police action. NCOZ did not want to comment on Monday’s tour. “NCOZ does not provide information on specific natural or legal persons,” spokesperson Iva Knolová wrote the List of Reports.

List The reports have already been reported in recent weeks about the interest of the police in the supply of protective equipment.

In mid-June, for example, the case of Recea Prague was taken over by prosecutors from the Prague Public Prosecutor’s Office. “I can confirm that we have received several criminal reports in connection with the purchase of medical devices during an emergency,” Prague Chief Prosecutor Lenka Bradáčová told Seznam Zprávy at the time.

The company Recea Prague, which supplied Vojtěch’s department with FFP 2 class respirators, was originally supposed to supply goods worth more than 300 million crowns. However, the ministry eventually canceled a substantial part of the supplies because, according to Minister Adam Vojtěch, the company did not deliver respirators on time.
