In a world increasingly characterized by technology like the present one, there are so many devices at our disposal. Among these is undoubtedly the television, now present in almost all homes. Just to watch TV, as is known, you have to pay the Rai license fee.

The latter, for some years now, has been charged directly to bill, with many wondering if it is possible to benefit from the relative exemption. Well, in certain cases this is possible, but we must hurry. There is still little time available to make this request.

Rai license, there is time until January 31, 2022 to ask for the exemption: what you need to know

While we continue to argue about the possibility of extend the payment of the fee to all electronic devices, such as smartphones, tablets and PCs, there are many who want to know how to ask for theexemption. The latter, we remember, can be requested by all those who they don’t have a television set.

To this end, therefore, the interested parties must send a specific communication to the Revenue Agency every year. However, deadlines must be respected, since the institution only accepts the declarations received by January 31 of each year. This means that there is still time until next year January 31, 2022 in order to make a specific request. But how is it to be done? Well, it is possible to send the declaration through the appropriate service web available on the Revenue Agency website.

Alternatively you can send a registered mail without envelope to the address: Revenue Agency – Provincial Directorate I of Turin – Canone TV Office – P.O. Box 22 – 10121 Turin, or a Pec at [email protected]. But not only that, it is possible to apply for exemption also by contacting a intermediary authorized, such as an accountant or Caf.

Rai fee exemption for over 75: pay attention to income

We also remind you that it is not only those who do not have a TV at home who can request exemption from the Rai fee. In fact, even those who have are entitled to it turned 75 years old, with own and spouse’s annual income not exceeding a total of 8 thousand euros.

But not only that, it is not necessary to cohabit with subjects who have their own income, with the exception of home helps, carers and other domestic collaborators. In this case, you are entitled to the full year exemption if the completion of the 75th year took place by 31 January of the reference year. If, on the other hand, the interested party turns 75 between February 1st and July 31st, he is entitled to exemption from the fee only for the second semester.
