Radev announces schedule for consultations with parliamentary groups – Parliamentary elections – Bulgaria – NOVA News

President Rumen Radev announced the schedule for consultations with parliamentary groups in the 47th National Assembly. They will be held in the Presidency on December 6 and 7.

The president announced when he would begin consultations on forming a cabinet

On Monday, December 6, the head of state will accept:

From 09.00 – representatives of the parliamentary group of “We continue the change”;

From 10.15 am – representatives of the parliamentary group of GERB-UDF;

From 11.30 am – representatives of the parliamentary group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms;

From 14.00 – representatives of the parliamentary group “BSP for Bulgaria”.

On Tuesday, December 7, consultations will be held with:

From 9.00 am – with representatives of the parliamentary group of “There is such a people”;

Radev before the deputies: The society said “no” to the conquered state

After the consultations, the head of state must hand over a mandate to form a government to the first political force – “We continue to change”. They have 7 days to fulfill the mandate or return it. In case of failure, they go to the second force – GERB-UDF. If they also fail to form a cabinet, the head of state will have to choose a third formation to make a final attempt. The difference is that this time Rumen Radev will not be able to dissolve the parliament in case of a total collapse of the cabinet, because there is a little more than a month left until the end of his first term.

For the third time this year, President Rumen Radev walked from the presidency to parliament for the first meeting of the elected MPs.

“My attitude is optimistic. “Today is an important day, I wish them success,” he said.

After the consultations, the first exploratory mandate will be handed over. The parties negotiating a new government are getting closer to coalition agreements.

“We had 18 different groups. Each group proposed about 10 policy pages. All these 18 groups of 10 pages, these are 180 pages of a document that must be compiled, put in a common framework, each of the coalition partners to review it carefully and then sign it, “said Kiril Petkov from “Continuing Change”

“Negotiations have yet to continue, after which our collective bodies must decide. There is still a lot of technological time “, commented Hristo Ivanov, co-chairman of” Democratic Bulgaria “.

“We have unresolved issues in the negotiations. These issues need to be resolved, the rest, as they say, is somehow even easier, “said Atanas Atanasov, co-chairman of Democratic Bulgaria.

The BSP will convene a National Council on Tuesday to receive Cornelia Ninova carte blanche for action.

“We are following the chronology we outlined yesterday. First clearing of the policies in the coalition agreement, then the responsibilities in the ministries and in the third place – names “, said Cornelia Ninova, chairman of the BSP.

The big question remains how the ministerial seats will be distributed. For now, it is known for sure that Kiril Petkov will be nominated for prime minister, but from his own party. If it turns out that the partners do not agree, another figure will be sought. A few days ago, the name of the current caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev was used as such an option.

“Practical, dialogical and humble – these are the foundations, in our opinion, of a future stable majority and a future stable parliament from now on. Let’s hope that everything will go well and when there is clear information, then we will go out and comment “, said Stanislav Balabanov from” There are such people “.

The four formations are expected to continue talks over the weekend.
