Radeon Monster Profile “RMP” is an optimized optimization utility for AMD RDNA 2 GPUs coming this fall, integrated into Hydra.

CTR and Hydra by Yuri Popili alias 1usmusthere is an optimization tool in town, and this time around the goal is to hijack GPU performance away from the CPU with a new tool known as RMP or Radeon Monster Profiler, which will provide higher performance and also save RDNA 2 power.

Radeon Monster’s “RMP” Profile Unlocks the Full Potential of AMD’s RDNA 2 GPUs, Launched This Fall

According to Yuri, the Radeon Monster Profile aims to improve the performance and power of AMD Radeon GPUs through a new voltage / frequency curve using a unique set of settings. This will allow the graphics card to use its full potential. Although the GPU is the main component of any graphics card, RMP pays special attention to the memory subsystem, where the operating voltage can be reduced by 6%, resulting in reduced power and thermal capacity in GDDR6 memory modules.

RMP (Radion Monster Profile) increases performance by overclocking the core (GPU) required for operating voltage. In one example, an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card can achieve a +300 MHz frequency increase over its standard operation. This allows for a performance increase of up to 13% compared to stock.

In one example shown, the RMP-optimized AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT delivers roughly the same power consumption as stock, while the tire / $ rating increases by 21%, which is pretty impressive.

Radeon Monster Profile (RMP) offers several universal and adaptive profiles. They will not change factory settings stored in the GPU BIOS, such as thermal throttling limits and fan speed. It also does not increase the operating voltage or change the current limit. But one of the prerequisites for the best performance with RMP is GPU cooling. A good AMD Radeon graphics card cooling solution can provide better GPU performance. Most non-standard cooling solutions for the Radeon RX 6000 series meet the required cooling conditions.

RMP (Radion Monster Profile) will be integrated after launch this fall Hydra Suite Which is used to optimize AMD’s Ryzen CPUs. It will be presented with different OC profiles and tuning with different maximum allowed power limits. Profiles are currently under development, so the performance shown here may differ from the final product. According to Yuri, while RMP will have support for RDNA 2 GPUs at launch, it also plans to add support for upcoming RDNA 3 GPUs in the future.
