Rada adopted the law on the indexation of pensions

The bill provides for the annual indexation of pensions on March 1 for military personnel, civil servants and other categories of pensioners.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the improvement of pension legislation. The bill №4668 was supported by 317 parliamentarians.

The document proposes to determine the date of the annual indexation of pensions – March 1 for military personnel, civil servants and other categories of pensioners on general terms.

It is also proposed to assign early retirement benefits for age 1.5 years before reaching retirement age to persons whose employment contract has been terminated due to changes in the organization of production and other conditions, as well as to assign early pensions to mothers (fathers) of children with severe, rare a disease that has not been identified as a disability.

This document is expected to enter into force on January 1, 2022.

It was previously reported that they want to deprive Belarus of pensions for “harm to the state.” Citizens will be left without a special pension in the event of an act that harms state interests and national security. The decision will be made by a special commission.
