R100k Drug Bust: Foreign National Arrested by Police

Limpopo Police Nab four in Separate Drug Busts

Law enforcement in Limpopo scored big, arresting four individuals in two separate incidents for drug posession and dealing, signaling an intensified crackdown on narcotics in the region.

Mokopane Bust: Foreign National Arrested

A 47-year-old foreign national was apprehended in Mokopane after the limpopo Provincial Flying Squad, acting on a tip, discovered crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of R100,000. The suspect also lacked valid South African identification.

The suspect is slated to appear in the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, June 9, 2025, facing charges that include drug possession, dealing, and violating the Immigration Act.

Trio Arrested in Mahwelereng

In a separate operation, three suspects were arrested on Friday, June 6, 2025, in connection with drug-related offenses.The arrests occurred in different locations around Mahwelereng.

A 21-year-old male was arrested at his residence in Mosesetjane village. Police discovered 155 sachets of Nyaope,57 sachets of Cat,31 sachets of Crystal Meth,and an undisclosed amount of cash in his bedroom.

another suspect, a 26-year-old male, was apprehended at his residence in danisani Sandsloot Village, found in possession of 46 sachets of Crystal Meth and 13 sachets of Nyaope.

In Masodi Village, a 39-year-old female suspect was arrested after police found 5 sachets of Nyaope, 2 sachets of Crystal Meth, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

All three suspects are currently detained at Mahwelereng SAPS. They face charges related to contravening the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act and possession of prohibited drugs. Their court appearance is also scheduled for June 9, 2025, at the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court.
