The Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and her husband, the prince consort Philip of Edinburgh many months have passed in the castillo de Windsor over restrictive sanitary measures, but it is said that once the Duke of Edinburgh’s birthday passes, the royal couple will live in separate houses.
This is because, after Philip of Edinburgh retired in 2017, he moved to Wood Farm, on the Sandringham Estate, and made it his official residence, while the Queen isabel II stayed in the Buckingham Palace attending to their royal duties, so they have both become used to living apart.

Not because of this their relationship was weakened, but on the contrary, it is said that while Prince Philip was at Wood Farm, he spoke every day with his wife Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, which has been seen by many of the British as a symbol of stability, since they have been married for 73 years.
And, because Philip of Edinburgh is retired from his royal duties, he prefers to spend his days in a quieter place, which is not an option for Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom since, from what has been shown, to be away from retiring, it seems that he wants to remain in command until the last of his days, for the sake of the crown.
This because much has been speculated that of letting the prince Charles of Wales ascended to the throne, as is his right, the British crown could see its end as the prince and his wife, Camila from Cornwall, they are the least loved couple of the royalty of the United Kingdom, because of the love triangle of which they made a victim Lady Di.
When will the separation take place?
From what has been reported, Queen Elizabeth II plans to return to Buckingham Palace this spring, once sanitary measures allow, but that plan does not include Prince Philip, who will leave for Wood Farm once the Queen I returned to London.

And although there is no exact date, it is known that the royal couple will be together for the celebration of Prince Philip’s 100th birthday, which will take place on June 10, but after that it is likely that the prince consort will return to retirement in Wood Farm to lead a quieter life for his age.
This despite the fact that on June 12 the official Troping the Color parade of the queen takes place, an event in which the entire Royal family and congregate on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, from where they enjoy the Royal Air Force air show.
But, although it is one of the few times that the Windsor family reunites, Prince Philip of Edinburgh has decided not to participate in said event since his retirement in 2017, so he is not expected to appear in the royal box this year, so After his birthday, he will most likely return to retirement alone.
