Salam also did not want to answer the question of whether Muslim marriages are being concluded in his mosque without prior civil marriage. Salam replied that it is up to a father to give his daughter away. Commission President Rog finds this not an answer to the question and is considering next steps.
The committee also asked him questions about celebrating children’s birthdays, or Salam said that believers should not go to ‘unbelieving’ psychologists, and other alleged statements and theological regulations. He also did not give a direct answer to that, but says that the foundation itself takes care of believers who are in need.
Al-Fitrah’s chairman of the board objects to the committee and the investigation according to his Islamic principles. The Chamber rather tightened one lawsuit against the alFitrah foundation because it did not want to give any information. The appeal is on 21 February.
