Quarrel in Party for the Future, Henk Krol threatens to leave | Inland

Otten confirms that he has kicked out treasurer Pieter Bogaardt this week. Bogaardt, a confidant of Krol, is said to have leaked to the press that Otten wants to be on the list for the parliamentary elections. Krol does not like that.

“The fact that Bogaardt had to report that I wanted to go to the Lower House has put us in a lot of bad blood,” says Otten, who is now in the Upper House on behalf of the party. Otten denies that he would want to go to the Lower House. “That is not at all obvious. I can be of more value in the Senate. ”

Bogaardt’s cancellation leads Krol to doubt his future at the PvdT. In an email to Otten, the Member of Parliament reports that he thinks it is ‘inappropriate and indecent’. Krol asks Otten to revoke the cancellation: “If not, I will reconsider my position.”

Otten does not seem very sensitive to that on Friday. “Bogaardt ignited the whole place through amateurish tinkering. We have made short work of that, that is not possible. ”

The quarrel is a new chapter in the short, but quite turbulent history of the PvdT. Krol founded that party after he left with a quarrel at 50Plus. He was first joined by Member of Parliament Femke Merel van Kooten Arissen, who previously split from the Animal Party.

The two then teamed up with GO, Otten’s party, which in turn had split from Forum for Democracy. Van Kooten Arissen soon left the party, because she did not agree with the positions of the party. And now Henk Krol is also threatening to leave the ship.

According to Otten, there has been a discussion about the way of working since the merger of GO and PvdT. “The deal was: GO has taken over the club from Krol. It’s just GO with a new name. We said at the time: we want to do it, but on one condition: that you disappear within us. That has been going on for a while and it has now escalated. ”

Despite everything, Otten hopes that things will still work out between him and Krol: “I really mean that.” Krol himself cannot be reached on Friday and says via Twitter that he “first wants to consult with those directly involved. I like to take the time for that. ”
