Quarantine in France – the country closes nightclubs and introduces a mask regime in schools

French Prime Minister Jean Casteks announced new restrictions due to the increase in the number of cases of coronavirus. In particular, nightclubs are closed for four weeks, and a mask regime is introduced in schools.

“The situation (with the coronavirus – ed.) Requires both individual and collective efforts,” Kasteks said after a cabinet meeting.

According to him, amid the strengthening of the fifth wave of coronavirus from December 10, nightclubs will be closed for four weeks. In addition, the prime minister noted that it is necessary to observe social distancing more strictly in schools and use protective masks.

Kastex urged companies to transfer employees to teleworking or use the opportunity to work remotely at least two to three days a week. The head of government also asked to abandon corporate parties.

He added that if approved by the regulator, the coronavirus vaccination could be extended to children between the ages of 5 and 12. In addition, people over 65 will no longer need to make an appointment for booster doses. They can get them from clinics or pharmacies.
