The Health portfolio, in a statement, also stated that the city shows stability in the figures regarding confirmed cases of covid-19, deaths and intensive care units.
The statement was released after the meeting of Mayor Claudia López and the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, in which the behavior of the virus with quarantines by groups of localities was analyzed, a strategy that came into effect since last Monday, December 13, July and they will go until August 23.
The Ministry also noted that The current measures have yielded positive effects, and for this reason, its recommendation is to maintain them.
We finished the evaluation meeting of the Covid-19 mitigation plan in Bogotá with the Minister of Health and his advisory committee. We are going to enter a meeting with medical associations on the same subject. At 5:30 pm we will hold a press conference to present the conclusions.

There are currently eight locations in strict quarantine, which will be under that scheme for up to 14 days. Then, another group of five will follow and then another of three.
The meeting on Tuesday had been announced by the president last Friday. This afternoon a meeting of the mayor with the medical associations is expected, with which she will discuss the same topic.
The concern of the doctors’ unions is the high occupation of the ICUs and the lack of specialized personnel to manage these types of patients.
