For his part, the Mayor stressed that it does not seek to penalize people, but to educate them to avoid further infections and undergo the coronavirus tests that are offered.
In the press conference it was highlighted that the initiative is carried out in conjunction with transport and tourism companies, such as hotels, trains, buses and car rentals.
They explained that when a visitor purchases a ticket to travel to New York, they will be asked to answer an entry questionnaire.
The Test and Trace Brigades will deploy personnel to Penn Station, the Port Authority and other similar locations to enforce this provision.
