Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung urged Quang Binh province to improve its business climate to attract more investors.

Quang Binh should pay more attention to administrative reform as well as building e-government and developing smart cities, thereby creating a transparent and open business climate to attract more investors, said the Deputy Prime Minister during the investment promotion conference held on Sunday, January 17 in this central province.

Welcoming the efforts of the locality to organize this event, the vice premier called on the ministries and sectors to help Quang Binh to restructure and develop its industries and to implement large projects.

He reminded investors and businesses to speed up the disbursement of investment capital and to focus more on protecting the environment and promoting corporate social responsibility.

At the conference, Trinh Dinh Dung handed over the government decision approving the Quang Trach II thermal power plant project, which represents a total investment of over 48 billion VND from the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) group, and the Truong Thinh Group’s Bao Ninh golf course project, worth 800 billion VND.

Grant the investment license to 35 projects

Authorities in Quang Binh have licensed 35 projects totaling more than 92 trillion VND (3.96 billion USD).

On this occasion, the province also launched two major projects, one on the construction of the Nhât Le 3 bridge and a coastal road, and the other on the extension of Dông Hoi airport.

Between 2021-2023, Quang Binh calls on investors to finance 62 projects in agriculture, industry, energy, trade, tourism and infrastructure development.

The province has great advantages given its strategic location in the East-West economic corridor. It is also considered an ideal adventurous tourism center in Asia with more than 300 caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bàng National Park.
